About Your Role (NFP Focus)We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Associate – Tax to join our esteemed tax team. In this role, you will provide critical support to our U.S.-based financial operations, contributing to tax compliance and the delivery of accurate and timely reporting.This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a deep understanding of tax and accounting principles and U.S. GAAP compliance, who excel in dynamic, collaborative environments driven by innovation, continuous improvement, and cross-border teamwork.The ideal candidate is meticulous, analytical, and proactive, with a strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset—committed to delivering excellence and driving meaningful impact within a high-performance culture.C. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review U.S. federal and state tax returns (1065, 1120S, 1120) for general contractors, subcontractors, and developers.Analyze percentage-of-completion (POC) and completed-contract methods for accurate tax treatment.Perform multi-state apportionment analysis and nexus determinationHandle depreciation schedules and Section 179 / bonus depreciation related to heavy equipment and fixed assets.Assist in preparation of K-1s, tax basis calculations, and reconciliation of book-to-tax differences.Communicate with U.S. engagement teams to resolve open itemsStrong experience preparing or reviewing Form 990Familiarity with Schedule A (public support test) and UBIT issuesExperience with clients that receive government grantsD. Required Qualifications & ExperienceQualification : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.CPA, EA, or pursuing is a plus.Experience : 3-5 years of experience in U.S. tax preparation for NFPsAbility to interpret U.S. tax laws as applied to contractors.Essential Technical Skills : Familiarity with GoSystem Tax RS or CCH AxcessSolid understanding and proven practical application of US GAAP accounting standards and methodologies.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.Exceptional proficiency in written and verbal English communication, enabling clear and effective collaboration with U.S.-based teams and stakeholders.Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and adhere strictly to deadlines.Preferred but not mandatory skills or experiences : Experience navigating state charity registration requirementsE.
