About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, secure, and optimize both relational and NoSQL databases in a cloud environment. The role demands expertise in database performance tuning, automation, and building robust data pipelines to support AI-driven applications and business-critical processes.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs) :
- Administer, monitor, and optimize relational and NoSQL databases for high availability and performance.
- Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and streaming processes for real-time and batch data.
- Ensure database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Implement automation scripts using Shell / PowerShell / Python for operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support application integration with databases.
- Maintain data integrity, compliance, and security standards.
- Provide database support for deployments, upgrades, and patch management.
- Troubleshoot database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity.
- Stay updated on emerging database technologies, tools, and AI-driven data management solutions.
Required Skillsets :
Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle.Proficiency in database administration, replication, clustering, and sharding.Experience in data pipelines, streaming technologies, and ETL processes.Proficiency in Python for database scripting, automation, and AI / ML data integration.Strong skills in Shell scripting / PowerShell automation.Expertise in database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.Knowledge of cloud-hosted databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL).Understanding of database security, encryption, and compliance standards.Familiarity with AI / ML-driven data workflows is a plus.(ref : hirist.tech)
