Job Description :

Aqilea India is seeking a skilled Mainframe Tester with strong technical expertise in legacy systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with COBOL, DB2, and mainframe batch processes, and will ensure high-quality deliverables in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform end-to-end testing of mainframe-based applications and batch processes.
Analyze requirements, design test cases, and execute functional and regression tests.
Collaborate with developers and business analysts to ensure complete test coverage.
Debug and resolve issues in COBOL programs, JCL, and batch jobs.
Validate data integrity and consistency using DB2 queries.
Track and manage defects using JIRA or similar tools.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Provide regular test reports and updates to stakeholders.

Required Skills :

34 years of proven experience in Mainframe Testing.

Strong knowledge of DB2, COBOL, and JCL.

Understanding of mainframe batch job flows and debugging techniques.

Experience with Agile methodologies and testing tools like JIRA.

Ability to write and execute SQL queries for validation and troubleshooting.

Good analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.

ISTQB Certification (advantageous).

Exposure to automation in mainframe testing (a bonus)
