The Senior Order Engineer Position is based in FCEC Chennai, India and as an Order Engineer supporting Middle East and Africa, she / he must review the customer purchase order from Sales & LBP teams, transform them into accurate Bills of materials (BOM) and release the order to MEA factories, drive continuous improvement on metrics and ensure accurately detailed technical order constructions in the business systems at all the stages of manufacturing.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :
Review & Provide Technical support for the incoming RFQ received in Quick ship from our LBP / Sales channels across MEA Region and to ensure the conformance to customer technical specifications, customer order requirements, code requirements. Feedback to Sales / LBPs in case of any technical discrepancies.
Provide Upfront engineering support to our quotation team for precise quote estimation to offer best Leadtime.
Work with LBP and Sales to Obtain Clean Quote request upfront to eliminate the delay at Order Execution stage.
Support Costing Exercise in order to determine discount levels by providing complete BOM upfront for assembly constructions.
Own, Handle, Analyze, the incoming Assembly and Instrument orders (Project / KOB2 / KOB3) from the Acceptance of PO till close-out.
To review incoming Orders and clean from discrepancies before processing into the Systems
Generate Bill of Material & Write-up (Serial / History cards) releases through Oracle to Production team along with required Materials, MRN's and CSP's and Validate in accordance with departmental Procedures / Work Instructions meeting Product Quality and Structure, Lead time targets and support the deliverables.
Communicate with internal sales team, LBPs, Global Industry Sales, R&D Engineering, Project management to ensure proper form, fit and function for the bill of materials provided.
Demonstrate excellence by Driving Assembly RFT performance through Positive support to improve RDSL / PDSL and Manage Non- conformance and Preventive action processes.
Maintain and Achieve Set Service level on both Quick ship quotes & orders for faster turnaround.
Monitor and manage the progress of orders and escalate issues to ensure timely release of items to manufacturing.
Act as focal point and deliver high level ownership in offering technical solutions to complex challenges to internal and external teams at all stages of execution.
Co-Ordinate and work closely with internal teams across organizations to meet the organizational goals and attend / offer technical training as needed.
Support change order owner in determining the change order charges and delivery impact.
Provides timely response to technical inquiries and act as a point of escalation when necessary.
To Propose Alternate soultions on the possible cases to meet Customer Shutdown / Turnaround
Responsible for tasks and processes dedicated by Engineering Supervisor such :
Providing Engineering Lead time quotes for MRO and Project orders
Pre-Engineering and PE approval process
MEA Oracle Order Import support
MEA RFT Analysis & COF refresher training
MEA SPG & CSP2 / 3 order Detailing
Technical review of Aramco orders
Double checking of BOM-s of other Order Engineers / Senior Order Engineers
Handling Quality issues during Assembly / Inspection stages / After Shipment
Support / mentor / guide - new order engineer
Participates and embraces in continuous process improvements focused on systems and reporting.
To Work on Improvement Projects through IA to enhance efficiency in driving sales.
Fulfill any other reasonable duties and task assigned as necessary.
Who you are :
As an Senior Order Engineer, the candidate shall handle MEA sourced Project and MRO orders supporting Order Engineering team, MEA World Area.
She / he configures and details orders in an accurate and timely manner to release work orders to MEA manufacturing sites. She / he analyses orders and identifies errors preventing order progression and communicates errors or discrepancies and take actions necessary to find a solution.
Must understand Bills of Materials and configure the product necessary to communicate customer requirements to MEA sourced manufacturing sites. Responsible and accountable for the effective execution of Emerson valves orders within the functions of her / his responsibility.
For This Role, You Will Need :
Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering.
Experience in highly Mechanical / Design / Technology focused role.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart :
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Order Engineering experience in Fisher control valves would be an added advantage.
