Job description

Description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Assembler to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe programming and a passion for developing efficient, high-quality applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain mainframe applications using assembler language.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot existing assembler programs for performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
  • Document code changes and maintain comprehensive documentation for applications.
  • Perform unit testing and support system integration testing.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in Assembler language and mainframe programming.
  • Experience with JCL (Job Control Language) and COBOL is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of debugging tools and techniques for mainframe applications.
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as DB2 or IMS.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
