Position : Junior Accounting Associate

Location : Remote (India)

Experience Level : 0–2 years

Working Hours : Must be able to align with US time zones (partial overlap)

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accounting Associate to support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of our US-based company. The ideal candidate will assist with payroll processing, invoice management, vendor coordination, timesheet follow-ups, and bookkeeping activities in QuickBooks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow with the company while working remotely from India.

Key Responsibilities 1. Accounts Receivable

  • Generate customer invoices and share them on time.
  • Follow up with clients for outstanding payments.
  • Track incoming payments and update accounting records.
  • Assist in customer communication regarding billing queries.

2. Accounts Payable

  • Receive vendor invoices and validate entries.
  • Enter bills into QuickBooks accurately.
  • Coordinate with vendors on payment status.
  • Prepare payment schedules and assist in processing vendor payments.

    • 3. Payroll & Timesheet Management

  • Follow up with team members for timely timesheet submission.
  • Assist in preparing payroll data for the US team.
  • Validate hours, leaves, and reimbursements as required.
  • Ensure payroll records are maintained accurately.

    • 4. Bookkeeping & Record Management

  • Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements.
  • Organize receipts, invoices, and supporting documents.
  • Support the finance team during monthly and year-end closing.

    • 5. Administrative & Coordination Tasks

  • Coordinate with internal teams for data collection and financial inputs.
  • Prepare basic reports, spreadsheets, and summaries as required.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

    • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of accounting or finance-related experience (freshers with good knowledge may apply).
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Experience with QuickBooks (preferred but not mandatory;

    • training can be provided).

  • Good proficiency in MS Excel and Google Workspace.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to follow processes, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with US accounting terms and workflows.
  • Experience in invoicing, billing, or payroll processes.
  • Ability to work overlapping hours with US time zones.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
