Automation & Controls Engineer

Overview

We are looking for an Automation & Controls Engineer to work on industrial automation and robotics systems involving PLC logic development, controls hardware integration, motion control, and system commissioning. This role involves working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure stable, efficient, and safe automation operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Ladder Logic or Structured Text.
• Configure and maintain HMI applications, screens, alarms, and diagnostic interfaces.
• Integrate and calibrate sensors, actuators, barcode scanners, safety devices, VFDs, and servo systems.
• Work with controls hardware, including PLC, I / O modules, wiring panels, industrial field devices, and safety circuits.
• Perform field commissioning, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of automated systems (robots, conveyors, machinery, AMRs / AGVs, etc.).
• Configure and maintain industrial communication networks (EtherCAT, CAN, Profinet, Modbus TCP, Ethernet / IP, RS-485, RS-232).
• Conduct preventive maintenance, root cause analysis (RCA), corrective actions (CAPA) and system performance improvement.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, program change logs, backups, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to achieve seamless system integration.

Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent)
