Job descriptionEnhance and refine the logic of Ethos' underwriting engine to improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience. Query, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify optimization opportunities and guide underwriting improvements. Partner with risk, actuarial, product, and engineering teams to design and implement new rules, workflows, and data-driven processes. Monitor and evaluate the performance of underwriting logic, proactively identifying gaps or issues and proposing solutions. Develop and maintain processes for validating changes, testing logic updates, and ensuring high-quality system performance. Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Support troubleshooting and resolution of system or data-related issues impacting underwriting.
