Finance Head (1.5-1.75 Lakhs per month , FULLTIME, 6 day week)

Founded in 2010 by four passionate animal lovers, Youth Organization in Defence of Animals (YODA) is a registered charity based in Mumbai dedicated to improving human-animal co-existence. YODA works to eliminate animal cruelty and provides prompt medical services for abandoned and injured animals. The organization also focuses on the behavioral rehabilitation and sheltering of homeless animals, vaccination and sterilization programs to control stray populations, and education and awareness to promote animal welfare.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for the Head of Finance, located on-site in Mumbai but responsible for across allocations of Khar West, Malad, Fridabad, Goa . The Head of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the organization, including the preparation and management of financial statements, budgeting, and financial reporting. This role also involves conducting financial analysis to support strategic planning and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Head of Finance will work closely with other senior management to provide financial insights that drive decision-making and organizational growth.

Qualifications

Chartered accountant certification

Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting

Strong Analytical Skills and proficiency in Finance

Experience in Budgeting and financial planning

Excellent leadership and management skills

Ability to work on-site in Mumbai

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Can work on softwares like Tally etc.

Previous experience in the non-profit sector is advantageous

Financial management skills :  Shelter account managers must oversee a budge

Comfort with tech :  Since they will largely be concerned with administrative duties, animal shelter account managers should have solid computer skills including working knowledge in Tally ERP or QuickBooks and good knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
