Director - Data Management

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as the Director of Data Migration and Automation. In this leadership role, you will oversee data migration projects and automation systems aimed at moving data from various Intellectual Property (IP) solutions to our company's software platform. You will manage a team of Data Migration specialists, ensuring data accuracy and integrity while driving the development of automated systems to streamline the migration process. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, expertise in the IP domain, and a passion for driving impactful change.

Job Responsibility :

Team Leadership and Management :

Lead and manage a team of Data Migration specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring team members have the resources needed to effectively execute data migration projects.

Foster a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Data Mapping and Transformation :

Develop comprehensive plans for mapping and transforming data from other IP solutions to align with the company’s software platform.

Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the migration process.

Competitor Data Analysis :

Lead the analysis of data structures and formats from other IP solutions in the market.

Understand and evaluate unique data models to devise effective migration strategies.

Automation System Development :

Design and build an automation system to streamline data migration tasks, including mapping and transforming data.

Develop workflows, processes, and scripts to automate repetitive tasks and increase efficiency.

IP Domain Expertise :

Leverage expertise in Intellectual Property (IP) data, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and legal entities.

Collaborate with legal and subject matter experts to ensure accurate migration of IP data.

Technical Integration and Customization :

Work closely with technical teams to integrate automation systems into the data migration workflow.

Customize and optimize automation processes to meet the unique requirements of IP data and legacy systems.

Quality Assurance and Testing :

Establish QA processes specific to IP data migration, focusing on the accuracy of patent, trademark, and copyright information.

Conduct rigorous testing and validation of migration activities to ensure data integrity.

Stakeholder Engagement :

Engage with clients to understand their data migration needs and challenges.

Provide expert recommendations to ensure successful migration of IP-related data, aligning with client objectives.

Continuous Learning and Innovation :

Stay current with trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data migration and automation within the IP domain.

Drive innovation and improvements in the automation system to enhance data migration efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure migration projects meet business goals and client expectations.

Contribute feedback and insights on product enhancements based on migration experiences.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing :

Document migration processes and automation procedures to build a knowledge base.

Share best practices and domain expertise through workshops and training sessions for internal teams and clients.

Requirements

Experience :

• 15+ years of experience leading data migration projects in software implementation.

Deep understanding of data migration methodologies, tools, and best practices.

10+ years of experience in leadership roles, with a proven ability to manage and mentor teams.

Familiarity with automation tools, database management systems, and data integration platforms.

Experience in the Intellectual Property (IP) domain or related industries is highly desirable.
