Job Description

To lead financial planning, budgeting, cost management, statutory compliance, and

support strategic decision-making for the cosmetics manufacturing and

distribution business. Responsible for financial accuracy, inventory control,

and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and revenue reporting.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund planning.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting activities.

2. Costing & Inventory Control

  • Evaluate product costing including raw materials, packaging, formulations, and production overheads.
  • Analyse BOM (Bill of Materials) and product yield variance.
  • Work with R&D, Production, and Procurement teams to optimize cost.
  • Conduct inventory valuation and verify stock audits.

    • 3. Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Excise.
  • Handle statutory audits, internal audits, and financial due diligence.
  • Prepare and file timely returns and resolve tax disputes if any.

    • 4. Internal Controls & Reporting

  • Implement internal financial controls (IFC) as per company policy.
  • Establish SOPs for finance processes (AP, AR, inventory, cash).
  • Present MIS reports to management with financial insights and recommendations.

    • 5. Strategic Support & Business Insights

  • Support management in decision-making related to pricing, new product cost analysis, and market expansion.
  • Conduct profitability analysis of product lines, regions, and sales channels.
  • Assess financial risk and propose mitigation strategies.

    • Required Qualifications

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Cosmetics / FMCG / Manufacturing industry is mandatory / preferred.
  • ERP / Tally and Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Knowledge of inventory, export, and import documentation is an added advantage.
