Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on HR Officer (3–4 years) who has worked with or helped build a startup in the energy and / or AI sector and can handle a broad spectrum of HR responsibilities independently.

The ideal candidate understands what it takes to grow a small team into a structured organization — managing everything from hiring and onboarding to culture building and compliance — while working closely with the founders. This is an HR role that combines operational execution with strategic thinking, suited for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Hiring & Team Expansion

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for roles across business, technical, and creative functions.
  • Coordinate closely with founders to define role requirements and growth plans.
  • Source candidates, conduct screening, and manage interview processes.
  • Handle onboarding, induction, and new-employee documentation.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain employee records, contracts, and payroll coordination.
  • Manage leave tracking, attendance, and statutory compliance.
  • Create, refine, and enforce HR policies suited for startup growth.
  • Culture & Engagement

  • Plan internal communication, engagement, and recognition activities.
  • Build and maintain a positive, transparent, and collaborative work culture.
  • Support leadership in driving performance discussions and feedback cycles.
  • Strategic Support

  • Support workforce planning for projects and training programs.
  • Assist in structuring internship and fresher pipelines for different departments.
  • Provide data-driven insights on retention, performance, and team development.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–4 years of HR experience — preferably with a startup background in energy, AI, or technology.
  • Proven ability to set up HR processes (recruitment, onboarding, compliance) from the ground up.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a practical, execution-driven mindset.
  • Comfortable working directly with founders and small, multidisciplinary teams.
