About the Role

At Inventure Academy, we believe every student deserves informed, thoughtful guidance as they shape their future pathways. As a Career & College Counsellor, you will support students in exploring career options, navigating college admissions, and making confident, well-informed decisions about higher education and beyond.

You will work closely with students, parents, faculty, and universities to ensure each student receives personalised, ethical, and structured guidance throughout their college and career journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide students through the college entrance and application processes.
• Support students with entrance exam planning, registrations, timelines, and score requirements.
• Ensure students meet academic and application deadlines.
• Individual Counselling: Provide excellent, data-driven university, career, and academic counselling based on the practices and expectations of Inventure Academy College and Career Guidance Programme.
• Support students in aligning academic choices with long-term goals.
• Assist students in building realistic and achievable post-school plans.
• Coordinate logistics for college visits and university interactions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Bridge U access and usage.
• Maintain accurate student records, including transcripts, test scores, report cards, and conduct records.
• Organise workshops and information sessions for students and parents.
• Plan and facilitate college information sessions and university visits at Inventure Academy.
• Support preparation and submission of college applications, recommendations, and related documentation.
• Be present for Student and Parent Orientation for IGCSE, AS/A levels and guide them on the College & Career Counselling program at Inventure.
• Update the leadership team about the College Placement, scholarship and career trends in regular intervals.
• College counselors will also serve as success mentors for selected students, guiding them through their academic journey with an understanding of their individual strengths and areas for growth, and helping them reach their full potential

Qualifications & Skills

• Understanding of Indian and International Higher Education: Possess expert knowledge and experience of university systems and application procedures for the UK, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Europe, and Japan.
• Excellent counselling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations and aspirations.
• High professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality.
• Comfort working with digital platforms and student information systems.
• Collaborative, proactive, and student-centred mindset.
• Degree in Psychology or Education preferred
