Hiring – Mainframe System Programmer | Leading Enterprise Client

Location : Bangalore | Pune | Chennai | Hyderabad | Noida

Role : Mainframe System Programmer

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe System Programmer to join a leading product and services organization. The ideal candidate will have in-depth technical expertise in z / OS, z / VM, and Mainframe infrastructure components, with proven experience in system-level configuration, performance tuning, and maintenance of enterprise mainframe environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain IBM z / OS and related mainframe subsystems (JES2, RACF, SMP / E, VTAM, TCP / IP).
  • Apply PTFs, maintenance upgrades, and system patches.
  • Manage system initialization, storage management, and resource configuration.
  • Troubleshoot complex system-level and performance issues.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and system availability improvements.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and performance teams to ensure stability and scalability.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in z / OS System Programming.
  • Hands-on with JCL, SMP / E, PARMLIB, PROCLIB, SYS1 datasets.
  • Exposure to RACF Security Administration.
  • Knowledge of Mainframe Networking (TCP / IP, VTAM).
  • Experience with Mainframe Storage Management (SMS, DFSMS, DFHSM) preferred.
  • Familiarity with Performance & Capacity Management tools is an added advantage.

    • Eligibility

  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a Mainframe System Programmer.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities.
