🚀 We’re Hiring – BIW Design Engineer (5–8 Years Experience) 🚀

📍 Location : Chennai

We are looking for talented BIW Design Engineers with hands-on expertise in CATIA V5, Teamcenter, and Vismockup to join our dynamic team.

🔧 Skill Set

  • Proficient in CATIA V5 (GSD / Sheet Metal / Part / Assembly / Drawing Workbenches)
  • Strong knowledge of Teamcenter & Vismockup

📘 Domain Knowledge

  • BIW Design (Underbody / Front End Structure)
  • Manufacturing processes, tooling, stamping & assembly sequence
  • AL-PL layout, Master Sections, Vehicle Integration & Packaging
  • Regulations & Homologation requirements
  • GD&T (CAD models & drawings)
  • Familiar with WERS, GPDS & DPA 0 / 1 assessments in E2KS

    • 📝 Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to concept development and VA-VE activities
  • Develop Body Engineering CAD concepts for PV & CV programs
  • Define & implement joining strategies (Spot Welding, MIG, etc.)
  • Ensure design compliance with BIW, technical & structural requirements
  • Coordinate with manufacturing for feasible mass production solutions
  • Collaborate with CAE team to meet Safety, NVH, Deflection & Fatigue targets
  • Ensure proper interfaces & clearances meeting DPA standards
  • Conduct timely engineering reviews of CAD
  • Work cross-functionally (Suspension, Powertrain, Manufacturing, Exterior / Interior)
  • Interpret DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T to support D&R and enhance design quality
