About Client:

Our client is manufacturing Fuel Injection Equipment for Cars, Sports Utility and Multi Utility Vehicles, Light Commercial Vehicles, Tractors, Single & Two Cylinder engines. It is the largest automotive supplier in the world and The company has a track record of sustained growth since it was set up.

Location: Oragadam, Chennai

Job Title: Section head Product design

Qualification & Experience

BE (Mech or Automobile or production) full time with 22 to 27 years of experience in Reliability testing

ME (Machine design / cad cam design) full time with 18 to 23 years

Role & Responsibilities:

Should lead the product design section of 25 to 30 engineers to achieve Business targets & Customer deliverables

Build Competence to meet NPD requirements

Work to improve product robustness.

Familiarity with TQM design guidelines.

Adherence to IATF 16949 requirements

Minimize design iterations. Develop products to meet target cost

Nature of Experience

Experience in design and development in Automotive Industry. Fuel injection System part design is preferable

Exposure to Design related software

Knowledge in precision parts manufacturing process

VAVE related

Bench marking of product

Exposure in DFMEA preparation

Familiar with design standards and guidelines

Exposure to reverse engineering

Handling customer return parts analysis

Experience in proto parts development

Knowledge in Material / Heat treatment selection for automotive parts
