Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Analytics Engineer with 3-6 years of experience in building and optimizing data models, transforming raw data into actionable insights, and maintaining scalable analytics workflows. The role involves working closely with data engineers and analysts to develop efficient ELT pipelines, maintain data models using dbt , and ensure the reliability and accuracy of analytics in Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.

The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and data modeling expertise with a deep understanding of analytics workflows, data transformation, and business intelligence. You will also work with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to translate structured data into actionable insights for business stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Data Modeling & Transformation :

Build, maintain, and optimize data models in dbt and Snowflake. Ensure data accuracy, scalability, and reusability through best practices in modular SQL and documentation.

ELT Pipeline Development :

Design and implement ELT workflows that extract, load, and transform data from various sources into analytics-ready tables and views.

Data Quality & Governance :

Establish validation tests and data monitoring within dbt to ensure data consistency, lineage, and reliability across environments.

Collaboration with Data & Business Teams :

Work closely with data engineers and analysts to define business metrics, model raw data into meaningful structures, and optimize queries for performance.

BI Tools & Analytics Applications :

Support teams in creating dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Translate structured data into actionable insights that help business stakeholders make informed decisions.

Documentation & Reporting :

Maintain detailed documentation of transformations, models, and dependencies. Support teams with accessible and well-structured data for dashboards and analytics.

Required Skills & Experience

• Data Modeling & Transformation : 3-6 years of experience in analytics engineering or related roles.
• SQL & dbt : Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and using dbt for transformation, testing, and documentation.
• Data Warehousing : Hands-on experience with Snowflake , BigQuery, or Redshift.
• ELT Pipelines : Experience in designing and maintaining automated ELT workflows.
• Version Control : Familiarity with Git for collaborative development and model management.
• Data Visualization Exposure : Basic understanding of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to support analytics workflows.
