Role : SAS Platform engineer

We are looking for SAS engineer to be part of our current SAS team.

We are currently operating a large number of SAS installations and are expanding our offerings to include hosting on SAS Cloud Solutions

Our goal is to provide our developers with a mature and stable service with minimal downtime, high performance and optimal cost efficiency.

We're looking for candidates who want to be part of building and improving our SAS installation and operations, who are looking for new challenges, and who want to contribute actively.

The SAS Platform Administrator needs to work closely with Business Teams / Developers and Enterprise Infrastructure Support Teams (UNIX, Windows, Storage, Network and Database Engineering Teams) to ensure delivery of technology solutions such as Performance Tuning, Capacity Planning, Disaster Recovery, User Support, Backups, Training and Documentation as required. Troubleshoots and supports SAS server environment. Strong background with change control management and sas code version control procedures.

Needed competences :

  • SAS infrastructure, installation and operations
  • Knowledge of SAS Grid technology / SAS on Cloud (AWS / Azure) - Added advantage

Your tasks will include :

  • Installing and patching SAS software
  • Possess in depth knowledge of SAS Foundation 9.4, SAS Metadata BI Server 9.4, Platform LSF Suite.
  • Handling certificate installation and renewals
  • Maturing new versions
  • Resolving incidents and investigating root causes
  • Performance troubleshooting
  • Being part of a 24 / 7 on call rotation
  • Capacity management
  • Supporting projects in design and implementation of SAS solutions
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills
  • Team player with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanor
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, prioritization, decision making and conflict resolution skills
  • Understanding of Agile methodology is a plus
  • Responsible for Monitoring, reporting, and controlling SAS server usage.
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute on assigned deliverables.
  • Use of ACTs and Groups across user segments
  • Strong familiarity with SAS EG

    • As a level 3 engineer you will also participate in :

  • Developing and maintaining product roadmaps
  • Taking part in strategic and tactical product planning
