Job Title - Electronics Sourcing Specialist – Thane

What Your Role Entails

As a Electronics Sourcing Specialist with deep expertise in sourcing electronic components such as semiconductors, power ICs, microcontrollers, and discrete parts, you will be managing BOM costs, negotiating with suppliers, and collaborating with EMS providers, PCBA vendors, and design houses to deliver cost-effective and high-performance electronics solutions including inverter drives, controllers, and embedded systems.

What You’ll Do :

Component Sourcing & Procurement

  • Source and qualify suppliers for semiconductors, power ICs, microcontrollers, and passive components.
  • Ensure component availability, lifecycle alignment, and compliance with technical specifications.

BOM Cost Management

  • Analyse and optimize Bill of Materials (BOM) for cost, availability, and risk.
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing, volume leverage, and design-for-cost strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to align component selection with budget targets.

    • Supplier & EMS Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with EMS and PCBA suppliers to support NPI and mass production.
  • Coordinate with vendors to manage lead times, MOQ, and quality standards.

    • Negotiation & Contracting

  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements.
  • Benchmark supplier quotes and conduct cost analysis to support strategic sourcing decisions.

    • Design House Collaboration

  • Partner with design houses to ensure sourcing feasibility and alignment with product architecture.
  • Support prototype development and component selection during early design phases.

    • Semiconductor Manufacturer Engagement

  • Demonstrated experience working directly with leading semiconductor manufacturers such as STMicroelectronics, Renesas, Texas Instruments (TI), and Infineon.
  • Leverage manufacturer relationships for technical support, roadmap alignment, and strategic sourcing opportunities.
  • Stay updated on product releases, EOL notices, and supply chain developments from key semiconductor partners.

    • Market Intelligence & Risk Mitigation

  • Monitor market trends, component shortages, and obsolescence risks.
  • Develop contingency plans and alternate sourcing strategies to ensure supply continuity.

    • Your success is grounded in

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electronics sourcing and BOM cost management.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components and their role in inverter drives, controllers, and embedded systems.
  • Proven experience working with EMS, PCBA suppliers, and design partners.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, sourcing platforms, and cost modelling tools.
  • Hands-on experience engaging with STMicroelectronics, Renesas, TI, and Infineon for component sourcing and technical collaboration.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (RoHS, REACH) and quality certifications. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
