Role Summary :
This job is a member of the Engineering Team within the Integrated Operations Division. Responsible for acting as a Technical Resource Specialist in areas of expertise for all Engineering groups. Also acts as a Company or Industry expert in a technical area.

Roles & responsibilities :
Assists the Engineering Manager in assigning, supporting, training, mentoring and reviewing activities of Engineers
Utilizes high levels of technical expertise and extensive experience to disposition highly complex technical concerns
Develops customized procedures and special criteria for repairs, modifications, inspections, servicing and other maintenance actions which are not adequately addressed in existing manuals
Effectively communicate with team and internal customers, including managing projects
Investigates aircraft / component problems which may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determines appropriate corrective actions
Develops action plans for fleet / multi-fleet and / or component engineering projects and pursues final dispositions according to assessed priorities
Maintains knowledge of current and pending regulations, which affect areas of responsibility and ensures that all Engineering actions maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
Utilizes available resources to continually increase levels of technical expertise and practical experience. Also strives to improve communications skills, time management and other personal qualities pertinent to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties.
Develops procedures and special criteria for repairs, modifications, inspections, servicing and other maintenance actions
Monitors daily operations and operational trends to identify and resolve items impacting the operation of the airplanes
Experience Required :
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience / training
8 years experience in an airline environment
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's Degree in Engineering
System proficiency in SCEPTRE or DECS
Expert knowledge of specific airplane systems and assemblies
Thorough understanding of FAA Rules and Regulations
Organization Designation Authorization Unit Member
Yellow Belt or higher certification by accredited Lean Six Sigma institution
