About the Position

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to head our software engineering team. The VP / Director of Software Engineering will own product development, architecture, and delivery of Solifi solutions on Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 , while driving innovation, DevOps practices, and team performance.

This role combines technical expertise with people's leadership, requiring someone who can design solutions, lead high-performing teams, and engage with customers, partners, and Microsoft.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a team of developers working on our products suite which includes our core Lease / Loan product and the associated portals that are used by our customers. We’re expanding the product offering, and you will be a chief leader in bringing this to the market successfully.
  • Proven experience leading teams and implementing the structures, tools and disciplines to enable high-performing software development.
  • Expert on model-driven Power Platform / Microsoft Dynamics Solutions for deployment into internal and external (customer) tenants.
  • Skilled with using Azure resources as needed to augment the Power Platform capabilities.
  • Implement and stay abreast of Power Platform, Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling.
  • An architect at heart, capable of designing solutions that fit the future direction of the industry, customers and our product vision.
  • Understands the SysAdmin skills needed to ensure success of the teams, security of the product, and support of the customers.
  • Able to guide DevOps engineering so we achieve smooth CI / CD
  • Has experience in a software products company (not just internal corporate IT departments)
  • Brings energy and curiosity to help the entire team solve complex problems
  • Build talent and ensure the overall health of the team by developing and mentoring team members while helping them grow both technically and professionally

  • The Solifi Sr Manager of Engineering is a strategic position that crosses the Strategic Leadership, Product, Support, Security Infrastructure roles.
  • Additional responsibilities envisioned are :
  • Work with customers to envision and deliver new solutions
  • Work with partners to collaborate on new and innovative solutions integrations that bring new benefits to the industry
  • Work with Microsoft to stay involved in the latest technology updates
  • Work with Microsoft to ensure we get access to the best knowledge, insights, architecture and other expertise consistently
  • Ensure security policies and processes are adhered to

  • You are an expert in Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 and still enjoy being hands-on with technology.
  • You thrive as both a technical leader and a people leader, able to architect solutions, enforce standards, and mentor teams.
  • You are comfortable presenting to clients, partners, and industry groups, while also digging into code reviews and DevOps practices.
  • You bring energy, creativity, and curiosity, with a strong drive for continuous learning and growth.
  • You have a proven track record of setting ambitious goals and achieving them—you don’t back down from challenges.
  • You are passionate about teamwork, innovation, and delivering great products, and you approach your work with a competitive spirit and enthusiasm.
  • You balance big-picture strategy with day-to-day execution, moving seamlessly between whiteboard architecture and hands-on engineering.
  • You understand the importance of DevOps, CI / CD, and automation and are ready to lead the journey from manual processes to full automation.

    • Qualifications

    Required Skills & Experience

  • Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 (Sales) development experience
  • Experience with Azure, Power Automate PowerBI, PowerApps Portals, etc
  • Full understanding of cloud computing fundamentals
  • SysAdmin experience and leadership skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical mind with an ability to quickly dissect information
  • Self-motivated, hardworking and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to quickly investigate and learn new technologies and third-party products
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

    Microsoft Certified : Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect Expert ( https : / / docs.Microsoft.Com / en-us / learn / certifications / power-apps-and-d365-solution-architect-expert / ) Knowledge of asset finance and commercial lending industry
