Varahe Analytics - Senior Tableau Developer - Data Visualization

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tableau Developer to join our analytics team.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deliver advanced data visualization solutions using

Tableau to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You will work closely with business users, data engineers, and analysts to understand complex data requirements and translate them into interactive, insightful, and user-friendly dashboards and Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and visualizations tailored to business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for data visualization.
• Translate complex data sets into intuitive and actionable visual insights.
• Optimize Tableau dashboards for performance, usability, and responsiveness.
• Develop advanced calculations, parameters, filters, sets, and table calculations using Tableau.
• Integrate Tableau with various data sources including relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle), cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift), and big data platforms.
• Conduct data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of data in dashboards.
• Mentor and guide junior Tableau developers on best practices and development techniques.
• Stay updated with the latest Tableau features, tools, and industry best practices.
• Assist in creating documentation, training materials, and user guides for dashboards and reports.
• Work closely with the data engineering team to streamline ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Implement data governance and security best practices within Tableau environments.
• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to continuous Skills & Qualifications :
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Tableau Developer or Data Visualization Specialist.
• Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Online.
• Proficient in SQL for querying and manipulating data from various databases.
• Experience designing data models and building efficient Tableau data sources.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL workflows.
• Ability to perform complex calculations, blending, and use of parameters in Tableau.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or R is a plus.
• Knowledge of other BI tools (Power BI, QlikView) is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in Agile teams and following software development best practices
