Description
- Category Buyer is responsible for developing, managing and executing the category strategy, managing policies, agreements, source matrix, and special procurement programs. Provides supply network solutions expertise, using Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) to deliver maximum value.
- Recognizing the potential for cost decreases by driving VAVE culture with supply partners and collaborating internally with process partners to deliver the maximum value to the enterprise. Responsible for soundness of business proposals and risk assessment / mitigation plans.
- Acting as the liaison between the organization and the supplier to communicate information explicitly, while considering organization goals, production demands and suppliers' conditions.
- Preferred candidates will have proven track record of supplier relationship / performance management, negotiation skills, project management, contract management, cost modeling and industry awareness.
Basic Qualifications
Engineering graduates from Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Production Engineering from reputed institutions with at least 12 years of relevant industry experience in procurement / strategic sourcing function.Top Candidates will also have
Experience in Construction Equipment industry or Automotive OEMs, managing categories like Hydraulics components, Powertrain, Electrical systems and Operator Cabins are most preferred.Professional Certifications from APICS / ISM / IIPMR / PMI are added advantage.
