Job Title : Accountant – Claims & Insurance Accounting
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Claims and Insurance Accounting team. This role will support both the operational and analytical aspects of accounting, including journal entry review, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit support. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and a proactive attitude toward process improvements and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Journal Entries : - Review and approve journal entries to ensure accuracy and proper accounting treatment.
- Account Reconciliations : - Prepare and review account reconciliations related to claims and insurance.
- Approve reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Discrepancy Resolution : - Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to claims and insurance activities.
- Variance Analysis : - Prepare financial statement fluctuation analysis and ensure explanations are meaningful.
- Review and approve variance analyses and highlight anomalies.
- Audit Support : - Assist in preparing PBC (Provided by Client) schedules for audits, specifically related to claims and insurance.
- Data Quality Review : - Review query reports based on checklists to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
- Project Involvement : - Collaborate on projects outlined in the claims and insurance accounting roadmap.
- Process Documentation : - Create detailed desktop procedures for assigned accounts and functions.
- Review and approve documentation to ensure it meets audit and operational standards.
