Description : About the Role :
The Assistant Manager Oracle EBS (SCM Consultant) will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Supply Chain Management modules. This role involves end-to-end ownership of Oracle SCM processes, from requirement analysis and configuration to testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. The candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the technical teams, ensuring that Oracle ERP solutions align with business goals, scalability, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
1. ERP Implementation & Functional Support :
- Lead full lifecycle implementation and post-implementation support of Oracle EBS SCM modules including Purchasing (PO), Inventory (INV), Order Management (OM), Procurement, and iSupplier Portal.
- Conduct requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, and prepare functional design documents (FDDs) for SCM processes.
- Configure Oracle EBS applications as per business requirements, ensuring best practices are followed in setup and data management.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Oracle SCM modules, troubleshooting functional issues and coordinating with Oracle Support (SRs) as needed.
- Work on integration of Oracle EBS with e-commerce portals, EDI systems, logistics, and supplier / customer interfaces.
2. Process Optimization & Automation :
Analyze existing Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes to identify bottlenecks and recommend automation opportunities.Design and implement scalable solutions for high-volume transaction processing, ensuring optimal system performance and minimal downtime.Collaborate with the database and infrastructure teams to perform performance tuning and load testing.Develop and maintain custom reports using Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, or OTBI to support business insights and KPIs.3. Business Analysis & Stakeholder Collaboration :
Engage with Sales, Service, Procurement, Finance, and Warehouse teams to align system capabilities with operational needs.Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for developers and integrators.Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and training sessions for end-users to ensure seamless adoption of new functionalities.Document business process flows, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).4. Continuous Improvement & Compliance :
Ensure system configurations comply with internal controls, audit, and regulatory standards.Monitor system utilization and recommend continuous enhancements to improve efficiency and reliability.Stay updated on Oracle EBS patches, releases, and emerging SCM technologies to drive digital transformation within ERP.Technical Skills & Experience :
Core Modules : Oracle EBS R12 (PO, INV, OM, iProcurement, iSupplier Portal).Integration Tools : Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), EDI, XML Gateway, REST / SOAP APIs.Reporting & Analytics : Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, OTBI, Discoverer, SQL.Database Knowledge : Oracle SQL / PLSQL fundamentals for issue analysis and debugging.Process Knowledge : Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Inventory Management, Logistics, and Procurement workflows.Implementation Methodologies : AIM / OUM, Agile delivery framework.Other Tools : Jira, ServiceNow, and documentation tools for issue tracking and change management.Qualifications :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.4 to 7 years of experience in Oracle EBS SCM functional consulting and ERP project delivery.Prior experience in end-to-end Oracle EBS implementation and production support in manufacturing or trading environments preferred.Oracle certification in SCM or EBS Functional Modules is an added advantage.(ref : hirist.tech)
