Key Responsibilities :
Develop and support functional safety work products as per ISO 26262, including Safety Plan, Safety Manual, Safety Requirements, Safety Analysis (FMEDA), and Safety Verification & Validation for SSG IP’s as a SEooC (Safety Element out of Context).
Collaborate with project engineers, marketing & development teams, safety consultants, vendors, and customers on functional safety activities.
Work closely with the architecture team to propose safety features and define safety architecture.
Prepare and review functional safety documentation in line with ISO 26262 standards.
Conduct reviews with product teams to ensure compliance with safety standards throughout development cycles.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
Strong background in Microprocessor, DSP, hardware accelerators, SoC / ASIC design methodologies (RTL & Synthesis).
Eagerness to learn and apply compliance standards for emerging markets.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good to Have :
Hands-on experience in ISO 26262 and safety certification.
Knowledge of FMEDA, DFA, FMEA, FTA.
Proven experience in driving customer safety requirements from concept to product.
Skills in scripting, programming, and process automation.
Experience in fault injection techniques.
Familiarity with tools like Perforce, Jama, JIRA.
Knowledge of ISO 21434 and ISO 9001 standards.
Experience in embedded HW / SW systems Product Development Life Cycle.
