Mandatory Skills (Must-Have) :
- Core ABAP : Reports (Classical & Interactive), Module Pool, Interfaces (ALE / IDoc, BAPIs, RFCs), Enhancements & User Exits, BADIs.
ABAP on HANA :
Advanced Open SQLCDS Views (Core Data Services complex joins, associations, annotations)AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) for high-performance data processingPerformance tuning with HANA DB specific techniques.OData Services & SAP Gateway : Design, development, and consumption of OData services; integration with Fiori / UI5 apps.Good-to-Have Skills :
Exposure to functional modules : SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), FI (Finance).Knowledge of SAP Performance Optimization : SQL trace, Runtime analysis, Code Inspector, ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit).Familiarity with Interfaces : SOAP / REST APIs, Proxies, PI / PO, Web Services.Experience with Enhancements & Extensions : BADI implementations, Enhancement Framework, Implicit / Explicit Enhancements.Experience in S / 4 HANA migration projects and code remediation (simplification items).Role & Responsibilities :
Application Development & Enhancement :
Lead development in ABAP on HANA leveraging CDS, AMDP, and advanced SQL.Design and build OData services for Fiori applications and integrations.Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot core ABAP objects : reports, batch jobs, enhancements, and interfaces.Performance Optimization :
Optimize ABAP programs for HANA DB performance (e.g., code pushdown, use of CDS / AMDP).Ensure scalability and high throughput for critical business processes.Integration & Collaboration :
Work with functional consultants (SD, MM, FI) to design technical solutions aligned with business processes.Collaborate with UI5 developers for seamless Fiori integration via SAP Gateway / OData.Testing & Support :
Create and manage unit tests, test data, and provide support during UAT / validation.Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for defects and deliver fixes within SLAs.Leadership & Best Practices :
Provide technical mentorship to junior developers.Ensure adherence to SAP development standards, clean code, and secure coding practices.Participate in code reviews and technical documentation.Additional Information :
