Responsibilities :
Understand electrical architecture of HEV / EVDefine HEV / EV Battery Management System architectureConceptualization, Design and Development of xEV Lithium-Ion Battery Pack ControlsRequirement engineering of BMS with FuSa complianceBMS Function architecture & control algorithm creation such as SOC, SOH, cell balancing, life optimization, safety controls, cell characterization, energy management, thermal managementWork with xEV system team to identify the BMS electrical interfaces, calibration and testing team to generate battery system DVPISO 26262 compliance for BMS, DFMEAAdopt model-based design approach in BMSBMS Controls Software Verification and ValidationCoordination with other design departments suppliers & related agencies for design and development activitiesTechnical / Functional Competencies :
Knowledge of types of cells / modules, chemistry, electrical characteristics, battery packs architectures etc.Knowledge of design, safety & test standards of Lithium-Ion batteryWorking experience of battery management system hardware / software design, configuration and testingModel Based Design, experience with Matlab Simulink / State flowECU testing, excellent electrical / electronic troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of ISO 26262 & ISO21434Exposure to Hybrid / Electric Powertrain Control Design, development, Verification and Validation. Familiarity with on board diagnostics.Knowledge of HEV / EV Regulations such as AIS 038 & other relevant regulationsBehavioral Competencies :
