Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Accountant with Freight Forwarding Industry Experience to manage day-to-day finance activities, compliance, vendor billing, invoicing, and international remittances.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Navi Mumbai.
The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Zoho Books, and accounting practices specifically related to freight forwarding and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full accounting operations within the freight forwarding domain
- Create customer invoices (Freight, CHA, Transport, OCEAN / AIR shipments)
- Process vendor bills and maintain accurate payable / receivable records
- Manage GST (input / output), e-invoicing, GSTR filings, and reconciliation
- Ensure proper TDS deduction, payments, filing, and record maintenance
- Manage inward and outward remittances, including overseas agent payments
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor ledgers, customer accounts, and general ledger
- Coordinate with internal operations teams for shipment-wise cost updates
- Maintain accounting entries in Zoho Books
- Assist in audits, financial documentation, and compliance reporting
- Prepare MIS reports for management review
Qualifications
2–4 years of accounting experience specifically in freight forwarding / logistics (mandatory)Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory complianceExperience with inward / outward remittances and international paymentsProficient in Zoho Books (must-have)Strong understanding of vendor bills, invoice creation, and reconciliationExcellent communication, analytical, and organizational skillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related fieldWhy Join Us?
