The contract for this position will coincide with the project cycle with the possibility of extension depending on renewed project funding or mutual consent. Currently the project ending period is 31 December 25.

KiDS Project

YRGCARE a nonprofit organisation based in Chennai and operating throughout India is inviting applications for the position of Field Coordinator with ten positions available in Varanasi and Kanpur. These roles are part of the KiDS project supported by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Sanofi which focuses on raising diabetes awareness among middle and high school students in government schools by training their teachers

Terms of Reference :

Summary of Key Functions :

  • Under the overall supervision of the District Coordinator the incumbent will assist the program in developing and of project in the base location.
  • Facilitate training of teachers.
  • Support teachers for conducting session with students.
  • Facilitate and conduct parentteacher meetings in schools.
  • Mapping of community linked with the schools.
  • Conduct community meetings.
  • Identification of a diabetes ambassador who would further percolate awareness amongst the population.
  • Documentation of all activities and compilation of data.

Reporting :

  • Reporting to the District Coordinator / Program Manager.
  • Provide data / information from the field required for the preparation of reports in coordination with the M&E Officer.
  • Maintain records on site level referrals to facilities / services.

    • Requirements

    Qualifications Skills and Experience :

  • Preferably a postgraduation in Home Science / Nutrition / Social Sciences with at least 3 years of work experience handling largescale development health and nutrition in the past at the district level.
  • Working knowledge of the Education department is necessary.
  • Excellent ability in using MS Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication liaison and negotiation skills.
  • Selfmotivated with a strong ability and drive to lead project activities independently with minimal supervision.
  • Required to travel for appx 20 days a month. (Travel support will be provided under project).
