About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java-based test automation, Selenium, API testing, and BDD frameworks like Cucumber. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium.
  • Create and execute API test cases using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
  • Implement and maintain BDD test scripts using Cucumber in collaboration with developers and business analysts.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure end-to-end quality.
  • Identify test requirements, create detailed test plans, and write reusable automation scripts.
  • Analyze test results, track defects, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong experience in Java programming for test automation
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
  • Proficient in API testing (RESTful services)
  • Experience with BDD frameworks, particularly Cucumber
  • Good understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
  • Working knowledge of version control systems like Git
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CI / CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of performance or security testing is a plus
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
  • Familiarity with Playwright for modern end-to-end testing
  • Exposure to mobile automation tools such as Appium
