Snowflake / Matillion Developer

Role Summary

A Snowflake + Matillion Developer is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines for loading, transforming, and managing large volumes of data. This role involves working closely with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure reliable, efficient, and secure data solutions for analytics, reporting, and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines using Matillion to move and transform data into Snowflake for analytics and reporting.

Create and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures on Snowflake. Performance tuning for query execution & warehouse usage.

Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing data workflows (both at Matillion and Snowflake levels). Identify bottlenecks, improve performance and cost efficiency.

Ensure governance, security & access controls in the data platform (Snowflake), and maintain compliance and best practices

Collaborate with stakeholders : translate business requirements into technical specifications; keep documentation updated; ensure things align with business goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

experience in data engineering / analytics / data warehousing.

Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake : querying, schema design, warehouse sizing & management, cost / performance tuning

• Proficiency with Matillion ETL : building orchestration & transformation jobs;

Solid knowledge of SQL (advanced), and scripting / programming skills (Python, or other languages) for automation or custom transformations.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and related services (storage, compute etc.).
