Job Title : Assistant Manager - Accounts

Location : Agatsu Community Centre, Bandra Mumbai

Employment Type : Full-Time in-person (Tuesday to Saturday 10 am to 6 pm)

Reports to : Head of Operations & Finance

We also create and provide accessible resources to make mental health conversations easier and more informed. Through these efforts, Agatsu works to make mental health care more inclusive, approachable, and affordable.

Role Overview :

This role involves maintaining books of accounts, preparing financial reports, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with donor, statutory, and internal requirements.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, ethical, and organized, with strong analytical skills and a commitment to accountability. They help translate financial data into insights that enable better program and resource decisions.

In this role, the accountant ensures that every rupee is tracked responsibly and contributes to advancing the organization’s impact.

Key responsibilities :

1. Recording income and expenses

• Ensuring payment runs for Vendor Payments and Payroll
• Posting all entries in Tally and maintaining supporting workings in MS Office & Excel where required.
• Creating and filing all vouchers.

2. Preparing financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow)

3. Managing audits and tax filings

4. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and laws – including, but not limited to, Companies Act, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, CSR and GST where applicable.
