Workday Finance Functional Consultant

Role Purpose

We are looking for a CA-qualified Workday Finance Functional Consultant with proven experience in end-to-end Workday Financials implementations. This role focuses on functional ownership, business alignment, and solution design across Workday Finance modules, working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-quality financial transformations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end functional activities for Workday Financials implementations, from requirements gathering to post-go-live support
• Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into Workday-configured solutions
• Drive business process design, configuration, and validation across core Workday Finance modules
• Own functional design documentation, configuration workbooks, test scenarios, and UAT support
• Support data validation, reconciliation, and finance controls, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and compliance needs
• Collaborate with integration and reporting teams to ensure downstream accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Provide functional guidance during cutover, parallel runs, and hypercare phases
• Act as a subject-matter expert for Workday Finance, ensuring best-practice adoption and solution stability

Core Workday Finance Expertise

Workday Financial Management (mandatory hands-on experience)

Strong exposure to modules such as:

• General Ledger
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Asset Management
• Business Assets
• Revenue Management (good to have)

Financial reporting, worktags, and accounting configuration

Understanding of finance controls, audits, and statutory reporting requirements

Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification – mandatory

5 to 9 years of experience & hands on in at least one full end-to-end Workday Finance implementation

Strong functional consulting background in Workday Financials (not a technical or project-management role)

Proven ability to independently handle functional design, configuration, and stakeholder discussions
