Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Game Developer - Unity (2–5 years) located in Bengaluru. The Senior Game Developer will design, develop, and optimize game mechanics, programming functionalities, and gameplay features using Unity. The role involves collaborating with the game design team to implement innovative ideas and solving programming challenges to enhance performance and user experience. The candidate will also be expected to create high-quality, engaging, and scalable gaming applications.

What you'll do

Own gameplay systems, architecture, and features from concept → implementation → release.

Lead small pods (1–3 developers) when required and mentor junior engineers.

Prototype and iterate on mechanics with designers quickly.

Optimize game performance (GPU, CPU, memory usage) for smooth mobile gameplay.

Integrate IAP, ads, analytics tools (Mixpanel / Firebase), and remote configs.

Write clean, maintainable C# code with proper documentation and code reviews.

Contribute to planning, sprint estimations, and technical design discussions.

Collaborate with product and art to ensure engineering feasibility and quality.

Must Have

3–5 years

professional experience in

Unity + C#

game development.

Proven experience shipping at least

one live mobile game

(Play Store / App Store).

Strong understanding of Unity architecture : prefabs, scene management, asset workflows.

Solid experience with

optimization, profiling, memory management .

Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers (formal or informal).

Ability to design systems that scale for live ops and frequent content updates.

Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows.

Good to Have

Experience with multiplayer or real-time features.

Experience with shaders, URP, animation systems, or rendering pipelines.

Knowledge of ECS / DOTS or advanced optimization techniques.

Experience working in small, fast-paced startup teams.

Familiarity with backend integration (REST, WebSockets).

Comfort with designing and reviewing technical docs / architecture.
