Senior Shopify Developer

📍 Location : Chennai / Bangalore (on-site)

💼 Employment Type : Full-time

About the Role :

We are looking for a Senior Shopify Developer to take full ownership of our Shopify store. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Shopify customization, API / FTP integrations, product management, and order fulfillment workflows . You will play a key role in enhancing our eCommerce platform, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Front-End Customization :
  • Customize Shopify themes (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to create engaging, responsive, and high-performance storefronts.
  • API & FTP Integrations :
  • Integrate external systems and data sources to automatically push and sync products via API or FTP servers .
  • Order Fulfillment Management :
  • Handle and automate order fulfillment processes , shipping, and inventory updates through Shopify and connected systems.
  • Store Management :
  • Oversee the entire Shopify ecosystem including collections, products, discount codes, payment gateways, and apps .
  • Performance Optimization :
  • Ensure fast load times, optimized UX / UI, and smooth user journeys across all devices.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance :
  • Identify and fix technical issues, manage store updates, and maintain store stability.
  • Collaboration :
  • Work closely with design, marketing, and backend teams to align development with brand and business goals.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Shopify Developer (Shopify Plus experience is a plus).
  • Strong expertise in Shopify Liquid , HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and JSON.
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations , FTP product feeds , and automation scripts.
  • Deep understanding of Shopify Admin API , Storefront API , and GraphQL .
  • Experience in Shopify order management, fulfillment, and inventory systems .
  • Familiarity with Shopify apps, third-party integrations, and performance optimization .
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and eCommerce analytics tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Liquid customization for Shopify Plus stores .
  • Familiarity with React.Js or Vue.Js for custom storefronts.
  • Experience in Shopify headless commerce architecture.
  • Understanding of Shopify Flow, Hydrogen, and Oxygen .
