Festivals From India is hiring an experienced COO to join their client UnboxingBLR team at  BLR Hubba. The COO will be part of the C-Suite steering UnboxingBLR to help translate its mission into streamlined operations, organizational excellence, and sustainable growth. In this role, your primary responsibility at BLR Hubba, will involve you working closely with the Festival Director and BLR Hubba’s Core Group to co-create the festival’s long-term vision while ensuring seamless delivery across all aspects of programming, partnerships, finance, operations, and community engagement.

UnboxingBLR Foundation is a Bengaluru focused not-for-profit platform building a shared civic and cultural narrative for the city. Rallying and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, it works as a catalyst and enabler to envision and execute projects that make the city more livable, inclusive and globally relevant. Among its range of projects include a city-wide festival BLR Hubba, a museum, a first-of-its-kind data report on India's top cities, a city focused challenge, a podcast and much more.

BLR Hubba is Bengaluru’s signature city festival—a vibrant celebration of the arts, culture, innovation, and community spirit that make our city unique. In just two editions, BLR Hubba has grown into a beloved cultural property, drawing residents and visitors alike to explore thoughtfully curated events across music, performance, public art, workshops, and civic experiences. BLR Hubba is anchored by not-for-profit city platform, UnboxingBLR Foundation.

Please note :

  • The vetting process for this role comprises 2–3 rounds of interviews and may include a short assignment.
  • The Art X Company is hiring for this role on behalf of BLR Hubba.
  • This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru.
  • Salary band for this role is available upon request.

Requirements

  • Candidates with 10–15 years of experience in relevant fields are preferred; however, exceptional candidates with fewer years of experience but a strong track record in cultural leadership and festival delivery are also encouraged to apply.
  • Postgraduate degree in Arts & Cultural Management, Public Administration, Business Management, or related field.
  • Demonstrated track record of curating and delivering multi-venue festivals or major cultural events with significant civic engagement.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver complex budgets and mobilise resources.
  • Experience with securing sponsorship / CSR support will be an advantage.
  • Experience in event management, marketing communications, or community-building roles is a strong plus.
  • Exposure to international cultural festivals and global cultural policy will be an advantage
