Job Description : Senior SAP Test Lead / Consultant

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior SAP Test Lead to play a pivotal role in our mission-critical S / 4HANA transformation program. This is not just a testing role; it is a leadership position requiring a blend of deep technical expertise, methodological rigor, and exceptional stakeholder management. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing the end-to-end testing strategy to ensure a seamless and zero-defect migration from our legacy SAP environment to S / 4HANA. You will be the key custodian of quality, ensuring the new system meets business objectives while maintaining integrity and performance.

Key Responsibilities :

Test Strategy & Leadership : Develop and own the comprehensive test strategy, test plans, and master schedule for the S / 4HANA migration project. Lead and mentor a team of testers, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices.

Test Automation & Efficiency : Champion test automation by designing, building, and maintaining robust automation frameworks using industry-leading tools like Tricentis Tosca or Worksoft. Drive automation coverage to maximize efficiency and enable continuous regression testing throughout the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder Management & Communication : Act as the primary point of contact for all testing-related matters. Effectively communicate test progress, metrics, risks, and issues to senior management, project managers, and business stakeholders. Facilitate defect triage meetings and ensure timely resolution.

Test Estimation & Planning : Utilize sophisticated estimation models such as Function Point Analysis and Use Case Point to provide accurate test effort estimations for resource planning and project timelines. Continuously refine estimates based on project evolution.

End-to-End Process Validation : Design and execute end-to-end integration test scenarios that span multiple SAP modules (e.g., FI-CO, SD, MM, PP) and integrated non-SAP systems. Ensure business processes are thoroughly validated post-migration.

Performance & Quality Assurance : Oversee non-functional testing activities, including performance and load testing of the S / 4HANA environment, to ensure system stability and scalability under peak business loads.

Tool Governance & Best Practices : Administer and optimize test management tools like HP ALM, Jira, or Azure DevOps for test case management, execution, and reporting. Leverage SAP Solution Manager and Focused Build for project oversight, test suite management, and business process-focused testing.

Required Expertise & Technical Skills

Must-Have Qualifications :

• A minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in SAP testing, with at least 3-4 years focused on S / 4HANA migration or greenfield implementation projects.
• Proven, hands-on expertise with SAP test automation suites, specifically Tricentis Tosca or Worksoft.
• Demonstrable experience in creating test estimations using formal models (Function Point, Use Case Point, Agile Story Pointing).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S / 4HANA testing methodologies and the Activate methodology.

Technical Skills :

Test Management Tools : Proficiency in HP ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), Jira, or Azure DevOps.

SAP Platform Expertise : Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) 7.2 and the Focused Build solution for project management and testing.

Integration Testing : Deep understanding of cross-module integration points within SAP (e.g., O2C, P2P, R2R).

Performance Testing : Knowledge of performance testing concepts and tools relevant to SAP environments.
