Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Verification Engineer to join our Autotransfusion System development team . The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background and hands-on experience in medical device verification and validation , particularly in power subsystem testing and safety compliance . This role involves comprehensive verification of electrical subsystems, including power management , fault current measurement , and interface integrity testing .
Key Responsibilities :
Perform system-level and subsystem-level verification of Autotransfusion systems in accordance with design inputs and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC 60601, ISO 14971).
Conduct electrical testing of power subsystems including load, voltage, and current characterization.
Measure and analyze fault currents , leakage currents , and ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements .
Develop and execute verification protocols , including test procedures, test cases, and data collection sheets for electrical and mixed-signal components.
Verify grounding , insulation resistance , and power failover behavior under simulated fault conditions.
Use electrical test instruments such as :
Oscilloscopes
Power analyzers
Multimeters
Data loggers
Electronic loads
Collaborate with systems engineers , design engineers , and quality assurance to ensure requirements traceability and test coverage.
Document and review test reports , defects , and verification summaries in accordance with design control procedures.
Support design reviews , risk assessments , and regulatory submissions by providing objective test evidence.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering , Biomedical Engineering (with electrical focus), or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in electrical verification and validation for medical or safety-critical systems .
Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment and data acquisition tools .
Knowledge of IEC 60601-1 , IEC 60601-1-2 (EMC) , and ISO 14971 standards.
Experience with power system analysis , fault isolation , and current measurement techniques .
Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., Polarion, DOORS) and verification documentation practices.
Preferred Skills :
Experience in autotransfusion , hemodynamic monitoring , or other blood management devices .
Understanding of software-hardware interface verification .
Exposure to MATLAB , LabVIEW , or Python for test automation or data analysis.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to testing and documentation.
