Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator to lead the management, optimization, and support of our database infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the performance, availability, and scalability of database systems that support mission-critical applications within our shared cloud operations environment. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other NoSQL technologies, and a proactive approach to performance tuning, disaster recovery, and automation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Administer and maintain MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or NoSQL database systems across development, staging, and production environments.
• Engineer, implement, and manage robust backup and recovery solutions, including replication and failover strategies for disaster recovery.
• Continuously monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and conduct tuning and optimization to ensure high availability and low latency.
• Ensure database implementations align with established standards, security policies, and best practices.
• Design, test, and validate database solutions to ensure they meet functional and technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain database solutions optimized for cloud-based shared environments, including infrastructure-as-code (IaC) where applicable.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to support the implementation and long-term configuration management of databases.
• Lead and execute configuration change activities as part of deployment and maintenance processes in shared database environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and configuration records to support efficient knowledge sharing and auditing requirements.
• Author knowledge base articles and SOPs to assist Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams with common incident responses and resolution workflows.
