Job description

We are looking for a skilled Telecom Tester (OSS / BSS) with strong experience in manual testing across Telecom domains. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in CRM, Billing, Order Management, Provisioning, Inventory, and other related systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of telecom applications through structured testing practices.

🛠️ Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end manual testing to ensure the quality and reliability of telecom applications.
  • Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, test plans, and test scripts based on business requirements.
  • Utilize automated test scripts for Functional & Regression testing.
  • Conduct weekly regression testing across environments and present test results to stakeholders.
  • Identify, log, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring clear documentation.
  • Collaborate with development, design, and environment support teams for requirement clarity and defect resolution.
  • Participate in defect triage and troubleshooting calls , assigning issues to the appropriate teams.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for telecom applications.
  • Prepare and publish test execution status reports and closure reports .
  • Support in creating test data and tools required for testing activities.
  • Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in telecom testing.
  • Develop additional regression test cases and automate them using relevant automation tools.

🎓 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of Telecom domain manual testing experience .

    • 💻 Technical Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Telecom OSS / BSS systems including CRM, Billing, Order Management, Provisioning, Inventory, etc.
  • Proficiency in SQL and basic UNIX commands .
  • Experience with systems such as SingleView, MapleWave, Siebel CRM, BRM, Ericsson Order Management, ServiceNow, Nokia FlowOne , or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA or other defect tracking / test management tools.
  • Strong understanding of telecom testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with automation tools like Selenium or LeapWork (added advantage).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodology.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Self-driven with strong prioritization and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Preferred Certifications : ISTQB Foundation / Advanced Level.
