Role Description :

We are seeking an accomplished FEA with Structural or Geotechnical Engineering expertise, with advanced Abaqus simulation software expertise, to join as a part-time educator and research collaborator. This is a flexible, remote (work-from-home) position ideal for professionals passionate about education, research, and real-world civil engineering problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and deliver advanced online training modules and live classes on Abaqus Structural or Geotechnical engineering applications in Abaqus (including CDP, Soil-structure interaction, Slope Stability, and seepage problems).
  • Prepare high-quality content : presentations, tutorials, case studies, and assessments focused on practical FEM applications in geotechnics.
  • Mentor and guide participants through project-based learning and complex modeling assignments.
  • Collaborate on applied research in finite element geotechnical analysis, supporting journal-quality publications and industrial consultancy.
  • Stay current with the latest FEM developments, constitutive soil models, and simulation methodologies.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated expertise in Abaqus simulation software for Structural or Geotechnical FEM (CDP - Concrete Damage Plasticity, soil-structure interaction, tunneling, seepage, nonlinear soil modeling).
  • Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering (preferred), or MTech in Structural or Geotech with 5+ years' hands-on FEA modeling experience.
  • Track record of peer-reviewed publications on FEM applications in Geotech / tunneling.
  • Deep background in soil constitutive models (theory, application, pros / cons).
  • Versatility in solving real-world geotechnical problems (project / bid / academic contexts).
  • Added advantage : experience with tunneling analysis, foundation systems, and advanced seepage simulations.
  • Effective communicator, passionate educator, and team collaborator in remote / online environments.
