Role Overview
The role involves leading end-to-end execution of utilities expansion projects, covering conceptual design, engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover. The position requires technical expertise in utility systems, project management capabilities, and cross-functional coordination to ensure timely and compliant project delivery.
The role also involves regular travel to MRF manufacturing units and supplier facilities for site assessments, installation supervision, vendor discussions, and project progress monitoring.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Lead Utilities Expansion Projects
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle including conceptualization, equipment selection, tendering, vendor engagement, execution, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety practices, and statutory norms during all project phases
- Monitor project schedules, track deliverables, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely completion.
2. Engineering Studies & Technical Reports
Perform engineering calculations for defining design conditions, equipment capacities, load estimations, and system performance parameters.Prepare technical reports covering feasibility, cost implications and engineering recommendations.Evaluate multiple equipment options, compare alternatives, and justify optimal selections based on performance, efficiency, and lifecycle cost.3. Development & Review of PFD, P&ID, and GFC Drawings
Develop, review and approve PFDs and P&IDs ensuring accuracy of process representation, interconnections, safety interlocks, and instrumentation requirements.Provide technical guidance and inputs to design consultants for generating GFC drawings and layout plans.Review and approve engineering drawings, ensuring alignment with design standards, equipment specifications, and installation constraints.4. Technical Documentation, Tendering & Procurement Support
Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documents required for procurement of new utility systems and equipment.Collect, review, and compare vendor technical offers; perform detailed technical bid analysis and recommend technically compliant vendors.Support procurement and supplier finalization by validating technical deviations, equipment datasheets, and compliance documents before ordering.5. Coordination with Internal & External Stakeholders
Coordinate with vendors, consultants, commissioning engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth installation and timely completion of site activities.Liaise with production, maintenance, safety, and technical teams to capture requirements and align project deliverables with operational needs.Facilitate technical discussions, resolve on-site issues, and ensure that project plans, drawings, and technical inputs are clearly communicated across stakeholders.
