MEP Engineer - Retail / Mall

Job Purpose :

The primary responsibility of the Retail MEP Engineer is to review MEP drawings submissions (drawings and specifications) as received from the Design Studio Team in a timely manner, ensuring the compliance with project’s criteria and local rules and regulations. The Retail MEP Engineer will assess the MEP design against project’s regulations and criteria (technical fit out manual, design criteria manual etc.)  and will support the relevant stakeholders in resolving MEP design issues. He  /  She will also work in coordination with the other design studio members to verify and ensure a perfect coordination between architectural and MEP design and a correct development of the LOD MEP drawings.

Job Responsibilities :

1.     Reviews and Assesses MEP drawings submissions and specifications against project’s technical requirements and criteria manuals

2.    Ensures that the drawings comply with the project’s requirements and criteria

3.    Ensures that the drawings comply with the contractual and local authorities’ requirements

4.    Studies project’s requirements (technical fit out manual, design criteria manual etc.) given by client to ensure an accurate and consistent review

5.    Issues the assessments on MEP Submissions, in alignment with corporate standards in a timely manner

6.    Checks on MEP drawings submissions and ensures accuracy and consistency

7.     Go on site visits to understand the Unit / Project set up.

1.     Actively offers support to the different stakeholders and coordinates with the project / portfolio team on site to facilitate resolution to issues

2.    Identifies and prevents any technical issues related to the MEP services, highlighting the same to the Design Manager to discuss a route to resolve

3.    Advise the Tenants of any technical aspects that may affect the construction progress

4.    Reviews proposed MEP services and materials against specified technical project’s requirements and criteria and advise the Tenants accordingly in the MEP review assessment
