This position is based in Delhi NCR and report into the Programme Implementation Manager India. It will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations under the Farm Programme in India and a key point of contact for organisation's Implementing Partners in India. The Farm Support Officer is required to work closely with other team members in India to coordinate data management, timely submission of reports and information by Implementing Partners and its access and keep the team informed of challenges at implementation level.
Key Responsibilities :
Implementation and reporting : Farm Programme :
- Manage day to day concerns and mitigation of issues for Implementing Partners under the Farm Programme in India.
- Ensure regular communication with Implementing Partners as a key point of contact
- Stay updated on project level progress with each Implementing Partners and location
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to projects under the Farm Programme to assess quality of implementation, meet field teams, assess overall progress and impact.
- Responsible for facilitating the implementation of Corrective Action Plans with respective Implementing Partners.
- Conduct needs assessments and gap analysis for continuous improvement.
- Support the farm groups in meeting the objectives of th Farm Programme, provide feedback and facilitate cross-learning among partners for enhanced project impact.
- Support the expansion of the Farm Programme in India through identification, and onboarding of new implementing partners.
Coordination and event management support :
Work closely with organisation India team to organise annual stakeholder events vendor management, logistics coordination.Support in content development for workshops and eventsSupport the team in organising capacity building workshops in India coordination with participants, ensure their attendance through follow ups, booking support and coordination with experts and trainers.Sector knowledge and connectivity :
Stay updated on sector level topics focused on, but not limited to, certification bodies, changes in certification guidelinesKnowledge of existing sustainability or other cotton standards, best practices, programmes and assess areas of collaboration and engagement for organisation and its Implementing Partners.Maintain inventory of possible service providers in areas of research, programmes and training organic farming practices, community engagement, decent work, gender and human rightsNetworking and stakeholder management :
Participate in sector events, workshops, and meetings to understand ongoing issues, engage with partners, assess prospective partnershipsRepresent organisation in different forums within the sectorSupport in maintaining relations with government bodies at district, state and ministry level, and documentation of meetings.30-40% domestic travel to project locations : Monitoring visits to farm projects in rural areas of IndiaInternational travel for global meetingsExperience and suitability :
4-5 years of experience in project management, monitoring and evaluationExperience in stakeholder engagement at national and international levelUnderstanding of sustainability in businesses, development and community engagement
