About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

Key Responsibilities

Employee will be responsible for supporting Invest India’s efforts to facilitate and monitor investments across Indian states. The role involves close coordination with internal, Sector and Country Teams, and Government departments to ensure effective project tracking, reporting, and implementation support for investment facilitation initiatives.

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of state-level investment trends, project performance, and policy interventions to generate actionable insights for leadership.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and analytical trackers on investment facilitation, investor pipeline, and grounded projects for periodic review.
• Support the design and execution of special strategic projects within the States Team (such as policy benchmarking, performance assessment models, and state ranking frameworks).
• Prepare data-driven presentations, briefing notes, and review reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with State leads to gather inputs, track action items, and synthesise performance updates.
• Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking with other states and investment promotion agencies to identify areas of improvement.
• Support inter-departmental coordination for high-priority investment facilitation cases, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
• Contribute to internal process optimisation, knowledge management, and development of standardised reporting formats.

Qualifications

exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or statistical tools (R / Python) preferred.
