Description : About the Role :
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer with experience in both manual and automation testing.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing test strategies, creating test cases, and executing both manual and automated test suites to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA leads to identify issues, suggest improvements, and help deliver robust, scalable applications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Execute manual test cases for web / mobile / API applications during various phases of the development cycle.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest.
- Work on UI, functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Identify, record, and track bugs using tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to resolve issues and ensure test coverage.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or REST-assured.
- Maintain proper documentation for test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5-7 years of hands-on experience in manual and automation testing.Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, testing types, and processes.Experience with test automation tools such as : Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, PyTestScripting knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScriptFamiliarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g , JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).Solid understanding of REST API testing and tools like Postman.Experience with version control systems such as Git.Understanding of CI / CD pipelines and their role in testing(ref : hirist.tech)
