Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fashion Designer based in Vikaspuri ,Delhi, India. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for designing, creating fashion sketches, selecting fabrics, overseeing the production process, and ensuring that all garments meet the company's high standards. The role involves collaborating with other designers, attending fittings, adjusting designs, and following fashion trends to ensure the company’s offerings remain stylish and competitive.
Key Responsibilities
- Research fashion trends, fabrics, trims, and colors to create mood boards and design directions.
- Conceptualize and design seasonal collections aligned with Kelin’s brand identity.
- Create detailed sketches, CADs, and tech packs for production.
- Select fabrics, trims, and embellishments with cost-effectiveness and quality in mind.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure design accuracy, quality standards, and timely execution.
- Develop new silhouettes and styles that align with customer preferences and market demand.
- Stay updated with global and local fashion trends to keep collections fresh and competitive.
- Ensure designs are practical, comfortable, and tailored for everyday wearability while being stylish.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align product design with campaign storytelling.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree / diploma in Fashion Design or related field.1–5 years of experience in apparel / fashion design (freshers with strong portfolios may also apply).Proficiency in design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or CLO 3D).Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and production techniques.Ability to balance creativity with market trends and consumer preferences.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility, and technical knowledge.
