Structural Engineer

The Structural Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of structural elements within food and beverage manufacturing facilities. This includes buildings, foundations, platforms, and support systems for equipment and utilities. The role ensures structural integrity, safety, and compliance with industry standards and local regulations.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Design and review structural components for new facilities, expansions, and equipment installations.
• Perform structural analysis and load calculations for buildings, mezzanines, pipe racks, and utility supports.
• Prepare and validate construction drawings, specifications, and BOQs in coordination with civil and architectural teams.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, food industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction quality and adherence to design specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, equipment vendors, and contractors during planning and execution phases.
• Support feasibility studies, cost estimation, and risk assessments for structural scopes.
• Maintain documentation for audits, approvals, and internal governance.

Details

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Experience

5–10 years in structural design and construction within food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing

Tools

Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project

Certifications

Licensed Structural Engineer or equivalent certification preferred

Skills

Strong analytical, design, and project coordination skills; knowledge of hygiene and food-grade construction practices is a plus
