Job Title : Data Scientist (PhD)

Location : Hyderabad, Telangana

Employment Type : Full-Time / Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with a PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills to design and implement data-driven solutions that drive strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop advanced machine learning and statistical models to solve complex business challenges.
Conduct in-depth research and experimentation to innovate and improve data science methodologies.
Collect, clean, and analyze large, structured and unstructured datasets to extract actionable insights.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Business) to integrate models into production systems.
Perform hypothesis testing, predictive modeling, and optimization to support strategic initiatives.
Publish internal technical reports and, where appropriate, contribute to research papers / patents.
Stay updated with the latest research trends in AI / ML, deep learning, NLP, and data analytics.
Mentor junior data scientists and provide thought leadership within the team.

Required Qualifications

PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

Proven experience in applying machine learning, deep learning, and statistical techniques to real-world problems.

Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages, with expertise in libraries / frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.).

Proficiency in SQL and working with large-scale data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, or similar).

Strong background in mathematics, probability, linear algebra, and optimization.

Experience with research publication or contribution to open-source projects is a plus.

Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Exposure to natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or reinforcement learning.

Strong domain expertise in (Healthcare, Finance, Retail, etc. – customize as per your industry).

Track record of academic publications or patents in AI / ML / Data Science.
